TECHNIQUE & INSPIRATION 
It is important to handle your technique with confidence, because that will give you as the artist a sense of security, which is transmitted to the viewer. Technique is like a river flowing, it is dynamic and always changing because the more we progress, the more we know, and so our technique gets better.

Technique without inspiration means nothing. In our early days as an artist, technique is our only main concern, then as we grow, by the sheer act of painting, we realize that pure technique is just like having a good tool and that is all about all it is good for. It will not make a good painting by itself.

Talent without hard work and commitment will never flourish. As an Artist you need strong commitment, lots of practise and consistency.

My experience tells me that even extremely talented people, if they don't exercise their talent, will never develop, so aiming high and getting results very much depends upon your hard working habits.....and very soon, I will share with you an important tool to help you with your practise, as much as it has helped me!

REACHING U AUCTION
It is that time of the year again, and the Uruguayan kids need a hand. So, I am donating this painting, to be auctioned Oct. 29th. Your help will be highly appreciated!

Hello my friends! In this newsletter I write about how important inspiration means to your technique, and the importance of practising to gain security in your execution. I am also letting you know about my last visit to the United States, and a little bit about my next project, which I am almost ready to share with you! Also, REACHING U is working hard again to help Uruguayan kids with education problems; they are auctioning many goods, including one of my paintings!

Not long till Halloween, this year - I hope it finds me all dressed up, celebrating my birthday at home...eating yummy pizzas with family and friends!  Wishing you lots of inspiration! Alvaro		 
 
 New Orleans Workshop
October 25-28, 2013
 
I really enjoy painting and spending time in New Orleans....the city, the people, the atmosphere & the music, are all a big draw-card. So, I've saved it for last....and that is where you are going to find me. Starting with a free evening demonstration at 5:00 pm Friday the 25th of October (everyone invited); the workshop will begin Saturday morning through Monday. That will be it for 2013 in USA!  I hope to see you there!  I have a lot to show and tell!
